FDA-Approved SPRAVATO® (Esketamine) for Treatment-Resistant Depression
When two or more oral antidepressants haven't lifted your depression, SPRAVATO® nasal spray works differently—targeting the brain's glutamate system to rapidly restore synaptic connections in a calm, medically supervised setting.

A Breakthrough Mechanism Targeting Glutamate & Neuroplasticity
Traditional SSRIs and SNRIs target serotonin, norepinephrine, or dopamine—and can take 6 to 8 weeks to show an effect. SPRAVATO® targets NMDA glutamate receptors, helping rebuild neural pathways within hours to days.
Rapid Onset of Relief
In clinical trials, many patients with treatment-resistant depression experienced meaningful reductions in depressive symptoms starting as early as 24 hours to 4 weeks.
Serene, Private Suites
Administer your nasal spray under clinical guidance, then recline in a quiet, comforting suite with dim lighting, blankets, and attentive vital-sign monitoring for 2 hours.
Turnkey Insurance & REMS Enrollment
Our administrative team handles your REMS enrollment, insurance prior authorization, and copay assistance enrollment from start to finish.

Clear Answers to Common Questions
SPRAVATO® (esketamine) CIII nasal spray is an FDA-approved prescription medicine used for adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD)—defined as having tried at least two oral antidepressants without adequate relief—and for depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder with acute suicidal ideation or behavior.
Because of potential temporary side effects such as sedation, dissociation, and blood pressure elevation, SPRAVATO® is only available through a restricted distribution program called the SPRAVATO® REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy). Attuned Psychiatry is a fully certified SPRAVATO® REMS center where you self-administer the nasal spray under our direct supervision and relax in a private suite for at least 2 hours of medical monitoring.
No. Per FDA REMS safety requirements, you must arrange for a ride home (via a family member, friend, or rideshare service) after each SPRAVATO® treatment, and you should not drive or operate machinery until the next day after a restful sleep.
Yes! Most major commercial insurance plans and Medicare cover SPRAVATO® for eligible patients. Our prior authorization specialist, Mergel Bienes, and operations team also help enroll eligible commercial patients in the SPRAVATO® withMe savings program.
